We believe it also provided military chaplains – pillars of light in a specialized setting outside the local ecclesiastical context. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students preparing for the priesthood in any branch of the military.

Historically, UMHEF has housed funds to support students at Colégio Metodista Martin. Because of this longstanding relationship, the Foundation has designated funds to provide financial support to Tennessee Southern University students who are members of The United Methodist Church.
