Built by General Motors Defence, the ISV is based on the Chevy Colorado ZR2 mid-size off-road truck. The ISV trades defense for speed, allowing paratroopers and other light forces to reach their targets faster than on foot.
This compromise leaves soldiers completely open to all forms of enemy fire, including small arms, improvised explosive devices, rockets, missiles and artillery. The ISV, which has no roof, cannot protect the soldiers even from the rain.

It is equipped with a 186-horsepower Duramax turbodiesel engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Off-road capability is provided by the ZR2's off-road package, including Multimatic shocks and other Chevrolet Performance suspension components. There are places for an entire squad of nine soldiers, and the cabin and passenger compartment are covered by a safety cage.
The big question is: Will the infantry vehicle ever reach the civilian market? The ISV looks like the perfect ground vehicle, and it's sure to have plenty of room for all your friends. GM Defense hasn't said anything about building a civilian version...yet.
Here we have a great old pickup truck. This is a 1985 M1008 military 5/4 ton 4x4 truck. All wheel drive is tight and works as it should. The 6.2 diesel revs and runs great. It runs and drives great and has a turbo 400 automatic trans.
The miles show 19000 but I'm not sure if that is correct. He transitions perfectly. It has Michelin R1100 tires that are 38 inches tall. It has a few dents but looks pretty good. Truck is ready for work or play....take a look...if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

The Army received the keys to the first four ISVs on Tuesday at GM's Milford Proving Ground in Michigan. The vehicles, painted in Army green, are the first of an initial order of 649 placed by the end of June 2020. Ultimately, the Army wants about 2,065 ISVs over the life of the program.
